GETTING RID OF FLU FAST BY GINA SHAW DSc MA AIYS Dip Irid Dip NH
Well, this time of year many people are getting sick with colds and flu and there can be various reasons for this. The low temperatures we have had here in England (and in the New York/Washington area) weakens our immune systems so we are less able to fight off infections. At Christmas and New Year time people indulge in very poor food choices, e.g. meat and animal products, poor food combinations, alcohol, smoking, etc. They over-indulge in all types of food as a so-called treat for themselves. Also, many people, especially the elderly and young children, are being pressurised into getting flu jabs which contain many harmful toxins which can be the breaking point of a tolerable load of toxins for the body. Vaccines contain all sorts of harmful and poisonous chemicals including formaldehyde, aluminium, mercury, preservatives, etc. So let us address this issue.
Alarming Flu Vaccine Ingredients
The ingredients of flu vaccines will vary between flu vaccine makers to a small degree. Ingredients are found in the vaccine package inserts. The active ingredient of any flu vaccine is always a form of the infectious agents or microorganisms. The trivalent vaccine contains three live viruses that are anticipated six months to a year in advance to cause the flu for the following season.
The flu viruses that are chosen are generally cultured in chick fetus cells. These cells are fed a constant supply of glucose, various chemicals such as polyethylene glycol (antifreeze used to disrupt the virus), carbolic acid (a phenol used as a disinfectant), hydrolyzed gelatin or glutamic acid (MSG – used as a stabilizer to keep the virus alive and stabilize the mixture), gentamycin (an antibiotic containing hydrolyzed gelatin obtained from selected pieces of calf and cattle skins, demineralized cattle bones and pork skin) is added to manage any underlying bacterial infection, thimerosol (preservative – added to give the vaccine a longer shelf life) and “growth factors” to help the cells develop. Growth factors come from fetal calf serum. Fetal calf serum may also contain a variety of undetected animal viruses.
Once the virus is grown to maturity it is “inactivated” with formaldehyde (a cancer causing agent). When enough viral cells have been replicated, the whole mixture with the flu viral strains goes through a “complex” filtration and purification process. To reduce how virulent the viruses would be once injected into the body, the viruses are strained through animal tissue or human fetal tissue, especially from late term abortions. Other tissues that have been used are chicken embryo, calf serum, monkey kidney, embryonic guinea pig cells and cells from the dissected organs of aborted human fetus.
Because millions of eggs are required and the process to create vaccines is lengthy, scientists are looking for other less expensive and faster methods to create the flu vaccine.
Beware of the New Vaccine Ingredient
In the late 1990s, squalene, a new adjuvant or chemical substance, was allowed to be added into vaccines, especially the flu vaccines, to “enhance the immune response.” This adjuvant is known to cause a host of debilitating autoimmune diseases and has been linked in many studies to the cascade of reactions known as the Gulf War Syndrome. Both GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis, two flu vaccine makers have used squalene as an adjuvant in the H1N1 vaccines this year. Squalene is listed as MF59 in the package insert. Symptoms to watch for are fibromyalgia, rashes, skin lesions that won’t heal, chronic fatigue, recurrent headaches, joint pain, body hair loss, night sweats, low grade fevers, dizziness, memory loss, seizures, mood changes, anemia, an elevated serum sed rate (ERS), lupus, ALS, Raynauds, Sjorgren’s syndrome,
According to BBC News, Novartis, the Swiss vaccine maker tripled its profits this year from the sales of its H1N1 vaccine during the so called swine flu pandemic. More than $2.9 billion was made in just the first quarter in 2010, making the sales approximately $400 million more than anticipated.
So What's the Best Thing to Do When I Start Getting Symptoms of a Cold or Flu?
Unfortunately, Old Wives' Tales have let us down on this score and have become distorted over the years. The old saying ''Feed a Cold, Starve a Fever' was originally and should state 'Feed a Cold and You'll End Up Having to Starve a Fever', in other words if you carry on eating as well as normal day-to-day activities, you'll end up getting worse and having to starve a fever. Unfortunately, people are being misled and think they have to eat 'to keep up their strength'. Not so, eating is not a good idea or at least eating a normal standard diet isn't. I wouldn't recommend everyone fasts outright for the duration as some people may not be able to fast healthfully, e.g. if you experience hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia (or indeed Diabetes Type I), some forms of heart disease, metabolic diseases, adrenal gland problems, anxiety of fasting, etc. But at least you can stay on juices or eat light foods like fruits for the duration and get plenty of bed rest and sleep whilst your body takes over. You see, a flu or cold is nothing but a house-cleaning activity for the body, it just wants to clean out toxicity and so goes ahead and eliminates junk that the body has stored up. If you suppress this with pharmaceutical or herbal drugs it will only re-emerge, sometimes in a worse form than before. So listen to your body's cries for help and aid it in it's eliminative efforts. Stop smoking, drinking, working and do the things your body loves to do when it is ill, eat lightly of organic and raw if possible juicy ripe fruits only or veggie juices only and get plenty of bed rest and sleep, sleep, sleep and let your body take over in it's healing efforts!
